K-STATE College of Business Administration
Assessment of Student Learning
The College of Business Administration established a set of student learning outcomes that represent our goals for the important knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors that we would like every student to possess upon graduation from the College. Each year, we assess our progress toward these goals and outcomes using a variety of methods. This page is intended to describe the set of student learning outcomes, as well as provide information on our programs assessing our progress.

Student Learning Outcomes
These outcomes represent our goals for the important knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors that we would like every student to possess upon graduation from the College. While we want every student to get the most knowledge they can out of their respective major (Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Management, MIS, or Marketing), we also believe that a college degree should enhance students in a more holistic manner. Therefore, we are determined to provide a learning environment that helps students improve oral and written communication, computer skills, team work, diversity and global understanding, critical thinking, and ethical reasoning. Each of these outcomes is assessed to help us monitor our progress toward this goal.

Matrix of Student Learning Outcomes by CBA Courses
This matrix shows which courses in our CBA curriculum we seek to enhance students’ progress toward which Student Learning Outcome, as well as where each of the Student Learning Outcome is assessed.

Summary of the Annual Progess Reports on Assessment
Each year, the CBA submits progress reports on assessment to the Office of the Provost. This link shows the summaries of these reports, including reports from each department as well as the CBA as a whole. The summaries provide information on how each SLO was assessed and the results of those assessments.
