Curriculum
The following courses are required of all MAcc students. The typical semester offerings are noted in parentheses, but are always subject to change based on instructor availability. Please consult the latest course schedules for current offerings.

Required Course (Three credit hours)

  • ACCTG 731: Advanced Financial Reporting (Fall)

Accounting Electives (12 credit hours)
  • ACCTG 832: Advanced Auditing (Spring)
  • ACCTG 833: Corporate Taxation (Spring)
  • ACCTG 834: Partnership Taxation (Fall)
  • ACCTG 835: Advanced Management Accounting (Spring)
  • ACCTG 845: International Accounting (Fall)
  • ACCTG 844: Design of Accounting and Business Information Processes (Fall)
  • ACCTG 884: Enterprise Information Systems Assurance (Spring)

You may select your accounting electives based on one of the Accounting Specialty Areas.

Business Electives (Six to nine credit hours)

The business electives may be selected from non-accounting courses numbered 800 or above within the CBA. There are currently 12 business electives from which to choose.

Non-Business Electives (Six to nine credit hours)
These courses may be selected from courses numbered 500 or above outside the CBA. A maximum of six credit hours at the 500 level may be used. The remaining balance must be 600 level or above.
