| What is University General Education (UGE)? What are the requirements? |
| |
University General Education classes are general classes taken to help students widen their perspectives, explore the relationship between various subjects, and develop critical and analytical thinking skills. The CBA requires 18 credit hours (which may overlay with the business general studies requirements in communication electives, humanities, social sciences, and natural science) to fulfill the UGE requirement. At least 6 of the 18 credits must be 300 level or above. Courses approved for UGE will be labeled with a diamond before the course on the course schedule. |

We encourage all students who are planning on transferring classes to K-State to visit the Admission’s office course equivalency website to make sure the class will transfer. After you complete the class make sure to have your transcripts from the admissions office of your transfer school sent directly to the Admissions office at K-State. Grades do not transfer, only credits. It is important to remember that just because a course transfers to the University doesn’t mean that it will fulfill a requirement in your degree track. To verify if a course will fulfill a requirement in your degree track make sure to meet with your Academic Advisor. Please note that only up to half (63) of the hours required for the B.S. in Business Administration degree (126) can be taken at a two-year college. |
